Made in His image. Welcomed into His family. Called to serve alongside one another.
Welcome! We are so excited that you have decided to check out our website to learn more about Access Christian Church! Our services are uniquely designed to accommodate the special needs community, we welcome everyone to join and serve together at Access Christian Church. We are looking forward to serving you and coming alongside you in your walk with God regardless of where you are in your journey. We know trying a new church can be intimidating, but rest assured you are welcome here! We are a sensory friendly church that wants to reach all people for Christ.
Our goal is to make church accessible by providing accommodations, and changing the way church has been done in the past. We don’t want you to just attend church, but become part of our family and serve together! At Access Christian Church we kind of do things differently, you will see people from all walks of life using their talents to serve God. We believe that everyone is made in the image of God (Genesis 1:27) and everyone, no matter the disability or special need, has been called to participate in the body of Christ (Romans 12: 3-8).
We invite you and your family, no matter where you are in your life, no matter what challenges you face, whether you have special needs or not, to come join the family!
NOTE FROM PASTOR DENNIS BLAISDELL
WHO WE ARE
-
Access Christian Church might look a little bit different than a “typical church”. That’s because we want to make church accessible to everyone, including those with special needs. We don’t have a special needs ministry because our entire ministry is designed for those with special needs to be included. Our goal is to provide Access to people with special needs in everything we already do.
-
We believe everyone should hear the good news of Jesus Christ. During our service you will see that we have different types of alternative seating, movement areas, in service, sensory rooms, family style seating, sensory bags and tools, and of course we don’t expect you to sit quietly and not move during service… that would be really tough! Need to move around? Feel free! Are you worried that you can’t be silent during the message? No worries! Our service is very conversational, and we are just so excited that you are with us, don’t worry about being quiet, or having to act a certain way, that is exhausting. We want to meet you right where you are!
-
We know that sometimes the loud noises in worship, or the different lights can be a sensory overload! Our worship is an unplugged worship, with vocals, and softer instruments like the keyboard. We sing modern worship songs, without the plugged in worship. We also send out our music to families so their family members know what to expect. We try to use consistent songs in the same order, so everyone has the opportunity to worship God!
-
We believe that it is important as Christians to live life together. We understand that sometimes it feels like you are all by yourself, but we want you to know that we care about you and want to live life with you! We have our connect time before service throughout the year. This is a time to get to know other families, and build relationships.
-
Item description. As Christians we are not called just to learn about God, we are called to serve him by serving others. We are focused on providing accommodations to allow for people with special needs to use their talents and gifts to serve God! You will notice people with special needs serving throughout our church and community, and we invite you to do the same! We encourage everyone to use their unique, God given talents to serve him!
Our Heart for Access Christian Church
-
Loving God, loving others, and working wholeheartedly for the Lord in all we do.
Christ is whom we serve, and we live this out through His greatest commandments. As Jesus says in Matthew 22:37-39, "You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind. This is the great and foremost commandment. The second is like it, you shall love your neighbor as yourself."
Love God, Love People.
"Loving God" reflects the first part of Jesus' greatest commandment, emphasizing the primary importance of our relationship with Him. "Loving others" corresponds to the second greatest commandment, highlighting our responsibility to care for the people around us. And "working wholeheartedly for the Lord in all we do," drawn from Colossians 2:23-24, reflects our deliberate decision to follow God and serve Him in every part of life.
-
Driven by our love for the Lord and obedience to His commandments, we strive to cultivate a vibrant faith community that transforms lives through compassionate service and genuine relationships, all for the glory of God.
We intentionally nurture growth in our faith and community ("to cultivate"), building a church that is lively, energetic, and full of spiritual vitality ("vibrant faith community"). Through the Holy Spirit, we seek to make a meaningful impact on people's spiritual, personal, and social lives ("transforms lives"). We do this by engaging in acts of kindness and assistance, motivated by empathy and care for others ("through compassionate service"), and by valuing deep, authentic connections and a close-knit atmosphere within our church family ("and genuine relationships").

What We Believe about the Bible
The Bible is the final authority for all we believe. (2 Timothy 3:16, 17)
What We Believe About God
We believe there is one God, eternally existing in three persons (the Trinity): Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. (John 1:1-14)
We believe God is the Creator of everything. (Genesis 1:1)
We believe Jesus is exactly who the Bible says He is… “God with us”. He was born of a virgin, lived a sinless life, died to bring us back into a right relationship with God, rose from the dead, is now in heaven preparing an eternal home for those who follow Him, and will one day return. (Luke 1:1-4)
What We Believe About Salvation
We believe we have all chosen to walk away from God and will justly die. (Romans 3:23; 6:23)
We believe salvation is by the grace of God, not something we can earn on our own effort. It is found only in Jesus. (Romans 6:23; John 14:6; Ephesians 2:8, 9)
We believe the biblical response to God’s grace shown through Jesus is to turn from our sinful lives, declare Jesus as Lord, be immersed in His Name, and continue to grow in our relationship and knowledge of Him by loving Him with all our heart, soul, mind, and strength, and loving our neighbors as ourselves. (Acts 2:38, 39)
We believe those who have responded appropriately to God’s grace have His Spirit living in them, directing and guiding them, and serving as a “deposit” for heaven yet to come. (Acts 2:38; 2 Corinthians 5:4, 5)
We believe life doesn’t stop here. There will be a judgment of every person with those who have decided to live with and for Jesus inheriting eternal life and those who have decided to live without Jesus facing eternal separation from God. (Revelation 20:11-13)
We believe all who have accepted Jesus as Lord are joined together in His family, the Church. (Romans 12:4, 5)
